Gracie McGraw, daughter of Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, opens up about her diagnosis.

It’s heartening to witness celebrity couples who prioritize their marriage and family.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, the stars of “1883,” exemplify a beautiful union, yet like all families, they’ve faced their share of tragedies and hurdles.

In 2022, they disclosed that their 25-year-old daughter, Gracie, had received a diagnosis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

Their revelation garnered an outpouring of love and support, and recently, Gracie took to social media to provide an update on her condition.

“I just wanted to share quickly that I’ve recently been diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). To receive a proper diagnosis, you need to exhibit 2 out of the 5 characteristics of PCOS, and I had 3,” she shared in her post.

During her appointment with her endocrinologist, Gracie recognized that her condition might have contributed to her weight issues. Consequently, she opted to try medication to regulate her body more effectively and equip herself with the tools to maintain her health as she ages.

Gracie candidly acknowledged every aspect of her condition, stating, “I’m learning to navigate the new challenges, but I wouldn’t have taken these steps toward my physical health if I hadn’t prioritized my mental well-being first, because as crucial as physical health is, mental health goes hand in hand.”

Fans lauded Gracie online for her transparency regarding her condition.

According to John Hopkins Medicine, PCOS is a prevalent hormone disorder among women of childbearing age, characterized by irregular ovulation, elevated androgen levels, and sometimes, small ovarian cysts. It can lead to irregular periods, excess hair growth, acne, infertility, and weight gain.

“Sending love to those facing similar struggles or any challenge. Mental health is incredibly tough!! It’s a journey, but we can overcome it,” Gracie added.

“I share my experience in the hopes that it resonates with someone. P.S. The medication I’m taking has transformed my body in ways I haven’t experienced in years, perhaps ever. It’s strange to navigate, but I’m discovering ways to embrace it.”

Fans rushed to express their gratitude and admiration for Gracie’s honesty, describing her as “brave” and “beautiful.”

Unfortunately, Gracie has encountered significant body-related struggles. In 2021, she faced ridicule for her body shape and responded to a body shamer with grace while showcasing her dance moves!

“Today, I looked in the mirror and felt confident about myself. I went to a store and picked up a dress, the largest size they had, which was a size 8 (ridiculous) — I wear a size 10. The saleswoman literally took the dress from my hands and said, ‘That won’t fit you,’” she recounted on Instagram.

“It didn’t just upset me because she essentially called me too large, but mostly because so many stores perpetuate this. They only stock smaller sizes, and when you try on larger sizes, they don’t even fit. It’s not just pants; it’s everything.”

Gracie has unwavering support from her entire family, including her father, Tim McGraw. In 2020, Tim expressed his pride in his daughter, emphasizing her strength and independence:

“Gracie, our eldest daughter, is an actress in L.A., and she makes me proud every day because she’s such a strong, independent young lady who speaks her mind.”
