Confetti, Cyr Wheels, and Curtains! Kea and Ronan Brady Take Circus Artistry to New Heights on IGT!

High-Flying Artistry and Life-Changing Risks: The Circus Stars of Ireland’s Got Talent

The circus came to town on the latest episode of Ireland’s Got Talent, bringing with it a blend of terrifying danger and breathtaking beauty. Two performers, Kea and Ronan Brady, showcased how physical strength and artistic expression can combine to create showstopping moments, even when the risks are sky-high.

Kea, a 32-year-old Dublin native who trained as a ballerina in England before moving to Berlin, delivered a masterclass in aerial silk artistry. Performing to Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” Kea’s routine was described by Denise Van Outen as “picture perfect” in every frame. The judges were particularly stunned by her high-speed spinning trick at the end, which saw her drop toward the stage with incredible precision. Michelle Visage praised her balletic lines and powerful extension, noting that Kea made a dangerously difficult act look entirely effortless. With a clean sweep of four “yeses,” Kea proved that her transition from the ballet barre to the aerial silks was a winning move.

Following Kea was Ronan Brady, whose journey to the stage was a complete life pivot. A former secondary school teacher and inter-county Gaelic footballer for Roscommon, Ronan was forced to give up sports at 25 due to an arthritic ankle. Seeking a new physical challenge, he left teaching to pursue the “Cyr Wheel”—a large metal hoop—full-time. His performance was a lyrical display of balance and strength, which Michelle Visage described as “peaceful” to watch. While Denise Van Outen was slightly skeptical about how the act would fill a full hour-long show, the rest of the panel was impressed by his skill and the courage it took to change careers. Ronan secured three “yeses,” proving that it’s never too late to find your “apparatus” and follow a new dream.
