Boxing Legacies and Caravan Rappers! Winona McCullough and MC Decent Stun the IGT Judges!

Boxing Royalty and Rap Legends: The Unforgettable Night of Ireland’s Got Talent

The Ireland’s Got Talent stage is a place where family legacies meet future stardom, and the latest episode delivered a double dose of both. From the daughter of an Irish boxing icon to a self-proclaimed “best rapper alive,” the talent—and the personalities—were larger than life.

The night began with WAC (short for Winona McCullough), a 19-year-old who traveled all the way from Los Angeles to reconnect with her Irish roots. As it turns out, boxing is in her blood; her father is none other than world-champion boxer Wayne McCullough. Winona showed she’s a fighter in her own right, taking on Lady Gaga’s powerhouse anthem “The Edge of Glory.” While Michelle Visage noted a few pitchy moments, she praised Winona’s ambition and drive. Louis Walsh was equally impressed, and the panel rewarded her trans-Atlantic journey with four enthusiastic “yeses,” sending a wave of cheers through her family members sitting in the audience.

However, the energy reached a fever pitch when MC Decent took the stage. Hailing from Thurles, Tipperary, and living in a caravan in his mother’s back garden, the rapper brought a level of “controversy” and charisma that the judges never saw coming. Performing an Eminem-inspired routine—complete with customized lyrics roasting the judges—MC Decent had the entire room on its feet. Jason Byrne was in stitches, while Michelle Visage admitted she was “in love” with his unique charm. Louis Walsh even predicted that the rapper’s catchy set could be a hit record. With a sweep of four “yeses,” MC Decent proved that you don’t need a mansion to have a million-dollar personality.
