Once Homeless. They Sang For Community. And Moved Everyone to Tears
The Freedom Singers, a group hailing from the Skid Row community in Los Angeles, delivered a deeply moving and powerful performance on America’s Got Talent. Composed of individuals who have experienced the trauma of homelessness, the group used their platform to not only entertain but to humanize the unhoused population, reminding the audience not to turn a blind eye when they see someone suffering on the streets.
