X Factor participant Sam Black proposed to his girlfriend Emma on stage at boot camp.
Since judges Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, and Simon Cowell chose not to move him on to the next round, his audition finished harmoniously.
Sam was singing “Runaway” by Del Shannon when Simon intervened, asking him to cut out the backing music so he could hear his voice.
Sam’s dreams were crushed when Simon sent him home after conferring with the panel.
